Our Organization

STEG is a truly public-private partnership. Local elected officials, along with business leaders, educators and community leaders--serve as one board of directors to foster prosperity and vitality in the region.

Our Purpose

STEG plans, promotes and implements economic development programs and services in Chemung County. In other words, we grease tracks, clear roadblocks and troubleshoot for new and existing businesses. Our organization is committed to helping create and/or retain jobs, thereby sustaining a strong economy.
