VTI uses sputtering (physical deposition process) as the cornerstone of our cutting tool and punch and die tooling coating services. This high-energy sputtering enables VTI to produce S-TiN, TINALOX©, TICANOX©, CrN, ALOX® and CCplusC with remarkable consistency.

All of VTI’s cutting tool coatings offer a low coefficient of friction, and therefore, improve the durability of tools by up to ten times their expected lifetime. VTI’s uniform coating over the entire surface of the tool has shown benefits for cutting tools such as:
